U.S. wines reached a record high in exports in 2013, reaching sales of $1.55 billion. Californian wines made up 90% of the sales, up 16.4% since 2012. Export sales are expected to reach $2 billion by 2020, according to Wine Institute President Robert P. Koch.
The wine industry in America continues to grow with a 4% increase in the number of wineries since last year.
