Come Over October is an international celebration of—and with—wine as the beverage that brings us together—family, friends, colleagues, entire strangers—to toast all that is good about life.
The promotion was created by noted wine communicators Karen MacNeil, author of The Wine Bible, plus Kimberly Charles and Gino Colangelo, both of whom have their own wine-focused agencies in New York and San Francisco.
WineAmerica was pleased to host a Congressional Wine Reception on September 25, suggested and organized by Vice President Tara Good, and supported by the bipartisan Congressional Wine Coalition, co-chaired by Representatives Mike Thompson (D-CA) and Dan Newhouse (R-WA). Coincidentally, the tasting occurred right after the House voted to keep the government open until late December, so there was even something official to celebrate.
Wineries and trade associations around the country are celebrating COO in many different ways, using the resources provided on the website or creating their own concepts of how wine brings us together.
